Getting Started

SIGN DOCUMENTS/FILE CREATION

  • New clients will sign a contract outlining the independent contractor agreement.
  • Outside of the initial contract, we will submit to you a “Letter of Understanding” for each client, to ensure that each client’s situation is treated as the unique person he/she is.  Information will include whether we have permission to contact that client and if so, any time restrictions, for example.
  • Once the document(s) is signed, a file will be created to include a Bankruptcy Checklist. 

DOWNLOAD DOCUMENTS

  • Download our FREE Client Intake Form  (“CIF”) for your client’s completion. Our CIF has been used in many bankruptcy law practices nationwide.

PROVIDE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Once the client(s) have completed the Client Intake Form(s), forward it to our office along with the required documents. See Bankruptcy Checklist.

INITIAL REVIEW

  • The virtual bankruptcy will review the “Letter of Understanding.”
  • The virtual bankruptcy assistant will call you if there are any initial questions.

Drafting Begins

Our virtual bankruptcy assistant will begin to work on your case by:

  • Reviewing the client intake form for missing information.
  • Contacting debtor to obtain missing information, per your approval.
  • Perform a Means Test assessment.
  • Start due diligence.
  • Submit a document outlining any questions/concerns to you before the initial draft of the petition is e-mailed.
  • Submit first draft of petition, in pdf, for approval.

READY FOR FILING

  • If any revisions are necessary, the petition will be resubmitted to you for review.
  • Once in final form, you will e-file the petition.  

PAYMENT

  • An invoice will be submitted which will be payable upon receipt/filing of the bankruptcy petition(s).
